What is a biennial?
A biennial is a major event held once every two years. It often includes art, gatherings, and activities at various locations within a city.
This also applies to the Warmoes Biënnale. We have invited artists to create new work specifically for and in collaboration with local businesses and institutions.
SO HOW DOES IT WORK?
From March 7th to May 3rd, you can visit all the locations below for what you'd normally come for, but also to discover and admire unique works of art.
You can even just pop into one of the works or walk an entire route through the streets and Red Light District. We've summarized the route for you. Click the link on the left to receive the route on Google Maps.
There's also a fantastic audio tour by Hans Aarsman. This is the 20th artwork. Hans takes you through the neighborhood, from location to location, pointing out details that might normally go unnoticed and everyday things whose background you didn't know.
