During the Warmoes Biennale, mul-thee-fuhngk-shuh-nl will discuss well-being with waiting customers and people passing by. What is the situation in this regard in Amsterdam's city center? What factors influence well-being? Stories, perspectives, and ideas on this topic will be collected during three pop-up editorial offices at Giftshop Effeness, Happy Inn Laundromat, and ORDER Tattoos. At each location, they will address a different sub-topic of well-being: parcel point x attachment, tattoo shop x desire & laundromat x search. The findings will be published in three publications, which will be available in the participating pavilions of the Warmoes Biennale.
Mul-thee-fuhngk-shuh-nl is a collective established in 2023, consisting of Floor van Meeuwen (Rotterdam), Jorien Ketelaar (Brussels), and various others. The collective emerged from several projects that applied psychogeographic methods to wander with others, exploring existing concepts of the urban environment and how we collectively navigate disruption and reform. Collaboration and polyphony are integral to their work, which stems from a curiosity about alternative ways of seeing, thinking, and doing, and a search for places and ways in which these can converge.
About Location
Order Tattoo Store is a tattoo studio in Amsterdam that operates at the intersection of tattooing, music, and visual culture. The space and label function as both a working tattoo studio and a creative hub filled with artworks, tattoo flashes, posters, and objects collected over time. Beyond tattooing, Order also initiates projects such as Order Territory Magazine and the Order Tattoo, Music and Art Jam, reflecting its ongoing engagement with Amsterdam’s wider creative community.
