Alma Mathijsen, de Warmoes Biënnale & SLAA present: Op de Schans – Open Mic and Spoken Word.

Every few months, a literary explosion takes place in the heart of Amsterdam. Op de Schans is a spoken word and open mic night, normally held in the living room of designer and entrepreneur Bonne Reijn, but this time at three different locations in the Red Light District, around Warmoesstraat. Writers and artists will read unpublished texts, raps, or sketches. Anyone can participate in the open mic by registering with Alma at the beginning of the event. Spoken word, poetry, prose, or essay—all writing is welcome!

For this special edition of Op de Schans, we'll be venturing into the neighborhood, inviting writers to write new work specifically inspired by three locations selected by the Warmoes Biennale.
